A French silver snuff box.
Circa 1890. Diameter 2.25" (6cm), height 0.75" (2cm).
The box has a lovely scene of a classical lady drawing in her study with objects all around her, such as a lyre, a bust, an artists board and brushes, a scroll and pen and a model cockeral. The lid is completely detachable and has the original gilding inside.
